PRESENTATION GUIDELINE

Instruction for Oral Presenters

Please be sure to review the followings when you prepare for your presentation.

1. PC Check

We strongly recommend that the presenter should check the connection or compatibility of your PC with the video projector in the session room during break time before presentation.
Additional projector is also available in the lobby by Room G for self-preview during the following hours:

  • October 2510:00-17:00
  • October 2608:00-18:00
  • October 2708:00-12:00
  • October 2808:00-17:00

2. Time Allocation

Plenary lectures 40min.
Keynote papers 40min.
Invited papers 35min.
Regular papers 20min.

Contributed oral presentations are allocated 20 minutes for the presentation and the questions and discussion. A typical presentation has 2-minutes for preparation and introduction of the Speaker by the Chairperson, and 15 minutes for presentation including approx. 3 minutes of Q&A / discussion.

All presenters are requested to start and done their presentation on time.
Please bear in mind that presenters will not get any extension for any reasons even in case of PC troubles.

3. Equipment for Presentation

  • 1) All speakers are requested to use their own laptop PC: either Windows or Macintosh.
  • 2) The session rooms are equipped with a video projector. PCs must have a display output interface with a D-sub 15-pin plug. If necessary, bring an adaptor.

  • 3) The electrical supply is 100 volts AC. Speakers are responsible for transformers and plug adapters.

  • 4) Your screen resolution should be XGA (1024 x 768 pixels).
  • 5) All speakers MUST meet in the room at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session.
  • 6) All speakers are encouraged to check your laptop with the equipment on the podium before the session starts.

4. Others

Speakers are recommended to bring their presentation data by a USB memory stick as a backup.

Instruction for Poster Presentation

1. Poster Board

Please prepare your poster materials to fit within a w120 × h220 (cm) board.
The recommended poster size is A0 size portrait (841 mm wide x 1189 mm long) or similar.
Make sure your session number (P-XX) that is available from the "Program book" which will be distributed at the conference. Each of them is already posted at the top of the board with a label.
Each poster must be labeled with the title, the names of the presenting author and any co-authors, and the name and address of the institution where the research was carried out. Charts, drawings, and other illustrations should be drawn simply and boldly.
Point size 36 is recommended for the title and point size 25 for the authors. The remainder of the poster should be neat and in point size 15 or larger.
Posters should be displayed on the boards using pushpins distributed in the Poster Session area. No adhesive materials are permitted on the boards.

2. Poster Display

Set Up:
Poster board will be available from 8.00 a.m. of October 26.
All authors are responsible for displaying their poster materials by noon of October 26.

Removal:
Please remove your poster materials by 16:00 of October 28.

Any posters and business cards remaining after 16:00 will be removed and disposed of by the Secretariat. The Secretariat will NOT be responsible for the loss of the posters and business cards after removal time.

3. Presentation Time

Presentation Time:
Poster Session will be held from 17:30 to 19:30 of October 26.

Obligation Time:
Odd Poster Program Number:  from 17:45 to 18:30 of October 26
Even Poster Program Number: from 18:30 to 19:15 of October 26
Presenting Authors must remain in the vicinity of the poster board during the obligation time to answer questions.

*IRC 2016 Kitakyushu requests you to control business cards collected in front of your posters by yourself. Organizing committee cannot keep any personal information due to the privacy policy.
